The various device manufacture SDK's have examples of code which make it appear that location acquisition is fairly straight forward - in reality it is challenging to get this working across several platforms. ZOS has invested considerable time with device manufactures to make consistent location acquisitions possible, and has in some cases contributed to the device SDK's.
