Company Overview
History and Vision

ZOS Communications products, services and standards are defining the location-based services (LBS) marketplace. ZOS has developed unique technology to send and receive location along with content in a proprietary standard across the operating systems of all mobile “smart devices” in North America. Our deployment schedule includes launching on five more continents by December 2009. The strategic growth of ZOS has resulted in an Location-Based-Service (LBS) standard, free browser tools, free code for developers and license-based integrator tools.

The current technological trend in the LBS industry is the embedding of location-aware technologies into all mobile devices. This includes GPS, AGPS, cell tower positioning, and WiFi node identifiers. This trend allows the delivery of made-for-mobile applications that leverage location awareness for enhanced functionality. Existing legacy enterprise applications can now also enhance their offering by leveraging LBS and extending their reach into the location environment.

Today, the landscape of global mobile computing reveals many existing and emerging mobile applications on disparate devices and operating systems, with very little standardization and no prolific protocol. The core competency of most of these application providers is not location, though location is essential to enhancing their user experience. Leveraging our patent pending technology ZOS is poised to take both mobile and legacy applications through this challenging hurdle of packaging and sending location data by providing LBS infrastructure and integration opportunities.
